Why you have to fish Long Point Bay if you
haven't already:
Long Point Bay is very shallow, usually ice
fishermen fish in depths of water between 4-10 feet here. With the Bay so
shallow and the water so clear people love fishing Long Point Bay because it's
like fishing above a giant aquarium. You can usually see right to the
bottom, so you can see the ground cover of sand and/or weeds. You can
watch excitedly as the perch come in to feed on your minnow. You can watch
in frustration as the perch only swim by your bait to feed on your friends bait.
Jigging very large shiny spoons here works well Perch can see the flash for
miles, this looks like a school of minnows and the Perch come in for a feeding
frenzy. This ability to see the fish is what keeps anglers coming back for
more. Children love watch the fish swim underneath their hole, especially
when the king of the Bay, a Pike swims by! Come to Long Point for a
fishing adventure the whole family can enjoy.

- Our 4-man ice huts are all the rage! Complete with a ride out and
back, heat (propane) and live bait (minnows). NEW, our huts now have a
BBQ/Stove outside each hut. The huts are rented at a rate of
$50/adult, $40/child (under12) please note there is a minimum fee of $100 (taxes included). We ask that you arrive for your day of
fishing adventures from 7:45 to 8:30am. We bring groups off the
ice in the order in which they went out. Unless otherwise requested
you will be brought off the ice at 3pm.

snap to set up. These huts feature
plenty of room for 2 people and their gear. There huts are compact,
light, and come in a backpack, weighing only 18 lbs. We rent them out
at 7am and have a return time of 4:45 sharp. Rent for only $40/day
(taxes included)...

At only $5/person you can't beat a ride to the fishing hole.
Please see in-store as to where you can meet the taxi. Our taxi
service runs from Wednesday to Monday (Tuesdays we're off the ice).
Starts at 8:30am and brings the
last group off the ice no later than 4pm. Please note we run a marked
trail and it is the responsibility of the angler to return to the marked
trail for a ride back in.
