Derby Results

Perch Ice Fishing Derby February 19th, 2011

Thanks again to all the participants. Unfortunetly, mother nature gave us some very cold and windy weather to work with this year. We did however have quite the turn out, 50 entries in the adult division and 10 in the kids division.

This year the winners are as follows (5 Perch):

- First Place - Erich Hering - 3.40 lbs.

- Second Place - Dave Ferguson - 3.22 lbs.

- Third Place - Justin Walsh - 2.865 lbs.

Kids Division (3 Perch):

- First Place - Eric Sieon - .0495 lbs.

The group picture taken of the three winners together was somehow erased off the camera :(

Perch Derby October 3rd, 2010

Thanks so much to all the participants. We had a surprising 18 participants for the derby, although many did not end up fishing. We had 5 people return to weigh in some fish.

This year the winners are as follows:

- First Place - Doug Stark - 2.505

- Second Place - Mike Lounsbury - 2.29

- Third Place - Harold Harris - 2.205

Rock Bass Derby 2010

Thanks so much to all the participants. Also, big thanks to the parents who got the kids out on the water with the weather mother nature provided. It's always great to see the faces of the kids with their great catches! Thanks to the Long Point Fish and Game Club for the donation of the prizes. As well, thanks to berkley for the donation of the additional goodies found in the grab bags, and to Chris Corbet for his time and extra hands for the Derby.

This year the winners of the Senior Division are as follows:

- First Place - Tyler Fournier with 360 grams

- Second Place - Mikaela Shermen with 295 grams

- Third Place - Mya Sherman with 245 grams

And the winners of the Junior Division are as follows:

- First Place - Sydney Martin with 135 grams

- Second Place - Aralyn Smith with 105 grams

There were only 3 fish weighed in for the junior division so we drew a name for the rod and reel combo left and the winner of the draw was Rebecca Turner.

I would like to thank Mikaela and Mya for the donation of their prizes, both of the girls rods and reels will be brought to the Long Point Fish and Game Club where it will be decided who will get the prizes.
